The drama, which has already generated a great deal of controversy, stars Sebastian Stan as Tommy Lee of the Mötley Crüe and the 32-year-old actress as Pamela Anderson, who were both victims of a 1990s internet s-x tape theft and sale.
Viewers won’t have to wait long to find out how the eight-part series plays out, but Lily insisted that the X-rated scenes must be presented.
She explained in an interview with The Sun that “We really thought that the s-x sequences had to be a part of the tale and had to be crucial to the script and growing their relationship and looking at what occurred.”
Nothing was predetermined, and it was a very amazing conversation that never stopped.
Before the show’s premiere, Lily’s transformation into the Baywatch star left viewers in wonder; in some images of her in character, it was difficult to tell the difference between the actor and the real Pamela.
Although the Downton Abbey star has received a tonne of accolades, she was very close to leaving the show.
Lily said to Variety, “I truly wanted to back out of this a week before.”
It simply felt too terrifying. But I believe that’s a fantastic point to start from because, I hope, it keeps you improving and progressing.
Lily revealed that she would repeatedly watch Pamela’s interviews, taking notes and copying the actress as she spoke at a rapid pace.
I wanted to capture the spirit, impulsiveness, and intensity that she possesses when she’s in front of the camera, she claimed.
