Maisie Williams claimed that she should be the one feeling uncomfortable as her entire family witnessed the highly publicised sex scene in the most recent Game of Thrones episode.
Prior to her encounter with the Night King at Winterfell, Maisie Williams’ Arya Stark had her first sex with the blacksmith Gendry (Joe Dempsie). Arya is a character who is eighteen. Since she was 12 years old, Williams has played her.
The incident startled a lot of people.
Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark, has one important reminder if you thought the scene was challenging in general: She has felt much more uneasy throughout the entire process.
Two days after the episode aired, Williams made fun of the viewer responses.
The actor wrote, “If u feel awkward, just know that my mum and my step dad and my two sisters and my four brothers have probably all watched this too. Ahahakillmeehehe (sic)”
Williams claimed in an interview with EW that she was given control over how much skin she displayed in the sequence and that she initially believed David Benioff and D.B. Weiss were pulling a practical joke on her. Not at all.
“This is something she has avoided; it’s an emotion we haven’t really seen her express. It’s the end of the world, what else would you have her do? David and Dan asked. This might be the first time in Arya’s life that she embraces her impending death, something she never does — “Not Today,” Williams remarked. Consequently, she had that thought that “We’re definitely going to die tomorrow; I want to know how this feels before that happens. It’s intriguing to observe Arya acting a little more human and speaking more normally about topics that frighten people.
Arya was deemed by some to be too young for sex.
“When it finally happens after four seasons of waiting for Gendry and Arya to come together.”
