Many people have seen how Jeopardy! as he fights cancer, host Alex Trebek’s spouse Jean Currivan Trebek. They have two grown children together and have been married since 1990. Did you know that they are 24 years apart in age? Actually, Jean is Alex’s second wife. From 1974 to 1980, he was married to Elaine Callei.
Alex is currently 80 years old, and Jean is 56 as of the posting. After they met at a party in 1988, Alex invited Jean to his place for dinner. What follows is history! Since they first met, they had been in love and together.
But my wife Jean and I have been together for almost 29 years, and I was thinking about President [George H. W.] Bush when he passed away, and all the comments about what a lovely guy he is, and how he and his wife had been married for 73 years, when I heard that. Oh my god, if only I had met Jean when I was in my 20s, we could have been together for a lot longer.
He remarked, “I imagine she wouldn’t have been born if I’d met her when I was in my 20s. However, 29 years is still a respectable number.
