Keira Knightley no longer wants to strip off for movie roles and has included a no-nudity condition to her acting contracts. The mother of two revealed in a recent interview with the Financial Times that while she is entirely at ease with her body, she has opted to no longer expose it on camera and now uses a body double for such sequences. The actress disclosed that she added the provision after having Delilah, who is six months old, and Edie, who is four years old, both of whom she and her husband James Righton share.
Although she had previously felt at ease doing naked scenes, she no longer desired to be exposed in front of the entire crew. She also made fun of her breasts, joking that they “droop” because she is a 34-year-old mother of two children. She admitted that the internet’s effect today and the limitless options it offers contributed to her choice. The actress claimed that when access to the internet wasn’t as widespread as it is now, it was simpler to film a naked scene.
She worries that any nudity she does would eventually end up on p*rn websites, and she is uncomfortable with that. Her contracts’ no-nudity clause protects her from all of these uncomfortable circumstances and enables her to select a body double to do such scenes in her place. The selection procedure fascinates her greatly. Knightley and Righton wed in 20113 after two years of dating, and their first child was born in 2015. In 2019, the Pride and Prejudice actress had her second daughter.
