Isla Fisher has confessed that the first time she met her husband, Sacha Baron Cohen, she was totally over heels in love.
On Friday, the 45-year-old Australian actress appeared on Australia’s The Project, where host Lisa Wilkinson informed her that the 50-year-old British comedian had recently claimed it was love at first sight for him but not for her.
I don’t know why [he said that], he was joking!’ the Wedding Crashers star replied, laughing.
‘I totally loved him right away. I mean I knew it was definitely love at first sight,’ she added.
Isla mentioned in another part of the interview that she and her husband have been together for two decades, which is unusual in the fickle world of show business.
‘It’s certainly 200 years by Hollywood standards,’ she said. ‘It’s like a Golden Jubilee or something,’ I say. ‘Everyone congratulated me.’
‘It’s a thrilling ride.’ Sacha is a wonderful addition to my life. Now we have this wonderful family, and we made it through lockdown together, which is not easy for any couple,’ Isla continued.
In December, the couple celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary.
Isla was born in the United Kingdom. Sacha and her husband met at a Sydney party in 2002 and married eight years later.
